As the sun rose from the ground and shined light, the day thus began. And so did the Maha Aarthi Pooja. The Maha Aarthi Pooja was a ritual that signified the expression of our gratitude through a Deepa Aarthi. The Maha Aarthi Pooja was therefore performed at dusk and dawn on the banks of the ‘Dakshina Triveni Sangam’, a place where 3 rivers confluence at Kooduthurai-Sangameshwar temple premises in Bhavani, Erode on 6th January, 2019.

The morning celebration was performed during the Brahma Muhurta, which typically occurs between 4 and 5 AM. The Maha Aarthi Pooja was enjoyed with an exhilarating crowd of volunteers from all over the globe. The dim light from the early morning sky and the Deepa Aarthi captivated every volunteer, shifting them to a truly emotional state and connecting deeply with water. Distinguished VIPs also wanted a piece of this extraordinary event and relished each moment during the morning Aarthi.

As time elapsed, our volunteers kept tirelessly working since the morning aarthi to ensure the event’s success. While the opening ceremony to the evening program remained scheduled at 4.00 PM, Participants from the across India poured in earlier than expected to avoid missing a single part of the holistically organized event. When Dakshina Foundation conducts events, they do it in style and grandeur. Months before the event, volunteers kept expressing gratitude to water on a routine basis. This powerful water was brought from various cities across India. These enchanted water Kalasams were taken to the stage after a mile-long walk with Guruji Mithreshiva leading the procession among other dignitaries.

Music drives us into a state of bliss. The beats from the Chanda Melam and the energy of the crew made every participant fall in love with the performance. Their music and dance performance made the whole environment lively and active. Following the performance, A fluidic dance segment by celebrity artists replicated the same fluidic action as that of water, putting the participants in awe and enjoying the semi-urban dance style with joyful smiles in their faces!

The event was graced by various lauded and reputed individuals from across Tamil Nadu. Hon’ble Justice G.R Swaminathan, Madurai, K. C. Karuppannan, Environment Minister of Tamil Nadu, Dr.G. Bakthavathsalam. Chairman of K.G Hospitals, Mr. Ramasamy, Chairman - Roots group of companies were some of the dignitaries who honored the event with their wholehearted support to the Neerukku Nandri revolution. After the chief guests provided their valuable insights on why this event was the need of the hour, Guruji Mitreshiva addressed the gathering by introducing water to the participants and why she’s the supreme being in this universe. By stating practical examples and explanation that was easy to understand, Participants understood the true value of Water and why an emotional connect with her was highly important.

As dusk descended on the Earth, Bhavani witnessed a spectacular ceremony. Hundreds of diyas, mantras, aroma of incense, flowers, and musical instruments created an ambiance of divine bliss to the participants. as the sun set gently and let the moon shine bright, the stage was ready for the Maha Aarthi Pooja. Thousands gathered to show their devotion to Water and watch the beautiful Aarthi in the night sky. With the hymns and mantras creating a powerful and vibrant atmosphere, the Maha Aarthi Pooja was performed by experts pandits who conducted aarthis to the ganges on a daily basis. The Deepa Aarthi was performed in grandeur, alluring the participants and filling their hearts with utmost love towards Water. The chilly and attractive environment made the participants enjoy the event in ways words couldn’t express!

Following a powerful vibration from the Aarthi ceremony, Guruji Mitreshiva launched the Neerukku Nandri’s Album – ‘Neere Sagalamum Neeye’ and released the Neerukku Nandri’s title track – ‘Neer Yengal Thaaye’. The emotional state of all the participants mesmerized themselves wholly into the rhythm of the music and danced to the tune of the catchy song.

The event came to an end an hours before midnight. Majority of the Participants expressed their wholehearted gratitude to Dakshina Foundation for conducting such a spectacular and organized program. The chief guests also swore to mark their presence to all upcoming events of Dakshina Foundation.
